September is already proving to be an exciting month here in the gallery!
We are so pleased to welcome Elissa Anthony to the gallery. Elissa moved to Vancouver Island in 1997 where she found great inspiration and growth as an oil painter. While she focuses primarily on landscapes, she sometimes segues into larger floral pieces, mixed media, and abstractions. Elissa’s showing this month ranges from small pieces at 6"x12, to much larger landscapes at 60"x36 that continue to capture ones attention no matter how many times they are viewed.
Walter Collins has brought us four paintings for his September showing. The gallery is currently displaying a number of his soapstone sculptures and is pleased to be able to showcase some of his work on canvas as well. Be sure to stop by and see his piece "Paradise Found"! At 96"x36", this piece is simply mesmerizing.
Linda Skalenda stopped by the gallery this past weekend and brought us some beautiful 24"x24" poplar paintings, preparing us for the upcoming fall season.
We are also looking forward to new arrivals from Sandra Johnman, adding to her current showing. These should be available to view mid September.
Another welcome arrival - Postcards of Gordon Friesen's "Sidney Pier" are now available! We expect these postcards of this popular local spot will go quickly, so be sure to pick some up before they go!
